Flute Force is America’s foremost flute quartet, “Four top-quality players in a perfectly balanced and expressive ensemble.” (Musical America) For their new innova release, eyewitness, they are joined by radio personality and author, Garrison Keillor, reading poems of Steven Crane, and the noted Meridian String Quartet.
Flute Force presents five recent works, three of them composed by flutist-composers Elizabeth Brown, Robert Dick, and Gary Schocker, who use their first-hand knowledge of the instrument to create new and unusual sounds.
